Proclad External Lagging Installation to Ductwork
We recently completed a ductwork insulation and weatherproofing project using Proclad external lagging to protect exposed ductwork on the outside of a commercial building.
The works involved installing a durable external cladding system around existing ductwork runs to improve protection against weather, reduce heat loss and give the installation a clean, professional finish.
Scope of Works
- Preparing the external ductwork ready for lagging
- Installing insulation around exposed duct sections
- Applying Proclad external weatherproof covering
- Sealing joints and overlaps to protect against water ingress

Made to Order Large Diameter Ducting for Specialist Projects

Aircraft Component Spray Booth Ventilation and Filter System
We were appointed to supply and install the ventilation and filtration system for a compact spray booth used in the refinishing of aircraft components.
The client required a system that would maintain a clean, controlled spray environment while ensuring safe extraction of overspray and airborne particles.

Spiral Tube Colour Ducting Custom RAL Finish
A client required high quality spiral tube ducting that would remain fully visible within the finished space.
We supplied factory finished spiral tube ducting, powder coated to the client’s nominated RAL colour references.

Structural Duct Support Installation Smurfit Westrock
Alpha Tube undertook a major structural support project for Martyn Tomlinson Building at the Smurfit Westrock facility.
We manufactured seven universal cantilever arms, each standing 4.5 metres tall, designed to support a 1320mm diameter duct.
Scope of Works
- Manufacture of seven bespoke cantilever support arms
- Design to support a 1320mm diameter duct system
- Powder coating preparation using our in house coating booth
- Structural installation and controlled lift on site
Outcome
The installation was completed smoothly and on schedule. The cantilever system now provides a robust long term structural solution for the ductwork.
Major Ventilation Upgrade at Salford Royal Hospital
Our team completed the replacement of three large scale extraction fans at Salford Royal Hospital as part of a wider initiative to improve air quality and ventilation efficiency throughout the facility.
Scope of Works
- Removal of three end of life extraction fans
- Installation of three new high capacity units
- Testing, commissioning and integration into the existing ventilation network
- Completed within a live hospital environment with strict safety controls
Outcome
The project was delivered safely, on schedule and without operational disruption. The new installation improves extraction performance and future proofs air delivery across key hospital areas.
Spray Booth Installation Franklin Products
We supplied two 3 metre booths and one 4 metre booth for Franklin Products in Milton Keynes.
One unit was ducted externally, while the other two were recirculating booths equipped with advanced filter systems. All booths were fabricated, assembled and delivered complete with fans, filters and lighting.
Extraction Hood and Local Ducting Systems
We installed a large extraction hood and ducting system, 11 metres long by 4 metres wide, as a local extract system for a work area.
